Roosevelt Replacement School Project!

It’s official! The name of the new school will be Giant Springs Elementary.
Sletten had the opportunity to meet with the 5th grade classes at Roosevelt to talk about the progress of their school and to discuss construction safety.
We were very impressed at the excitement and involvement of the students. What a sharp bunch of kids!

Coffee with Guy
The next Coffee with Guy is Wednesday, November 29th at 9 AM
We will not have one in December due to the holidays.
The next one will be Wednesday, January 31st , 2018 at 9am.

Roosevelt/Giant Springs Progress Update

• Foundation work is getting wrapped up. Currently we are forming and pouring foundation walls at the Gym, and working on the elevator pit footings and walls.
• Underground plumbing and electrical is being installed in preparation for upcoming slab on grade work.
• The structural steel for the Pre-Engineered Metal Building (Gym) has arrived and will start being erected the first week of November.
• The structural steel for Areas 1 & 2 will arrive mid-late November and the erection of the structure will start!

Fun Facts:

This is the first all-new school being built in Great Falls in 47 years! Lowell elementary school (site of new Roosevelt School) was built in 1939

Safety:

Construction fence is installed. Heavy equipment hazard. Glass, nails, and debris. Keep off site.

All workers onsite to wear safety vests, glasses, and boots.
