The PURPOSE of IEFA is for EVERYONE to recognize the unique and distinct cultural heritage of Montana's first peoples by learning about American Indian culture, history and contemporary issues in a culturally responsive manner.  By teaching through a broader perspective, providing professional development for teachers and staff, and by implementing resources and materials, we can combat stereotypes and broaden our students understanding.
