Degrees and Certifications:
I am a born and raised Montana farm and ranch girl! I grew up ten miles from Great Falls and was a student in the Great Falls Public School district. I graduated from University of Great Falls, now known as University of Providence with a Bachelor’s Degree in elementary education and a minor in reading/literacy. I began teaching for Great Falls Public Schools in 1996 and have taught a wide range of subjects, ability levels, and grade levels. I began my teaching career as a reading/literacy instructor. During this time, I earned a masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Lesley College. I have loved to read for as long as I can remember and consider myself a reading/writing/literacy instructor first, no matter what subject I am supporting students with. The subject matter is just the vessel used to do this. Literacy skills are necessary in all aspects of our lives!
I am excited to support students as they work toward their goals at CCRC! My greatest joy as an instructor is getting to be an instrumental part of the successes that students experience as they gain knowledge and skills, persevering through any struggles they may face to get there!
When not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband, family, and friends. I love to run, read, be outdoors in our beautiful state, and spend time creating memories with those closest to me!
