Degrees and Certifications:

Light, Brittany

I am a Great Falls native and graduated from Great Falls High School. I earned my bachelor's degree in Mathematics at Montana Tech in Butte and taught Math and Special Education at CMR for 4 years. During that time, I earned an endorsement in special education and a master's degree in counseling from MSU-Northern. When a counseling job opened at CMR, I made the transition from teacher to counselor and enjoyed these last eight years as a counselor. During my early years of teaching, I helped students at Adult Ed (as it was fondly called) work to earn their high school equivalency, and I absolutely loved working with adults and seeing how meaningful and impactful it was for the students to earn their diploma, despite facing many personal challenges along the way.
I am extremely excited and ready to help students at the Great Falls CCRC with whatever their goals may be. I believe that your life is a story, and the challenges and joys meld together to make chapters. I look forward to helping my students open new chapters full of hope and learning.
In my spare time, I enjoy adventures with my wonderful husband and our four children. I love to travel, do home projects, crossword/logic puzzles, and read.
