“When given the choice between being right or being kind, choose kind”

-Dr. Wayne W. Dyer

Hello and welcome to Social Studies!

My name is Lindsey Sitzmann, and I am a Graduate of The University of Montana Western with two degrees in modern history and interdisciplinary social science and a minor in Constitutional studies. At Paris Gibson Education Center I teach Essentials of World History and Contemporary American Problems. Within each of my classes I strive to challenge students to look beyond the textbook and to the world around them for guidance and inspiration. From the time I was little, I have always wanted to become a teacher; to gain the opportunity to teach within this community has been the greatest gift.

I am originally from Helena, Montana, where I spent the majority of my life until pursuing a degree in education to which I found myself venturing and falling in love with the community of Dillon, Montana. Throughout my time in college, I gained a passion and love for traveling and meeting people from all over the world. To this day, travel is still one of my greatest passions along with caring for my six wonderfully obnoxious dogs. I am thankful to be within the community of Great Falls and am beginning to understand the many great wonders it has to offer.
