We Can Do Hard Things!
Dear West Families,
I hope you all enjoyed your summer break. I am eager to welcome the kids back to our building. Last year was difficult for everyone, and I am hopeful that we can continue providing top-notch educations in a less restrictive, yet safe setting.
Something I feel passionately about is students receiving a stellar education. I can assure you that our team at West will work tirelessly to provide your students with a safe place to learn. I pride myself on being understanding, so please don’t hesitate to call me for any reason. My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org and phone number is 268-7180.
Covid protocols: Our district is currently in YELLOW STATUS. This means we will be requiring masks at this time. Please check the district website regularly for updates on these changes: www.gfps.k12.mt.us
I would like to encourage our families to commit to regular attendance at school this year. In order for us to tackle gaps in education that we experienced through the pandemic, daily attendance is crucial. We will be awarding perfect attendance often throughout the year at our assemblies. Just a reminder that school starts daily at 8:25 am, and dismisses at 3:20 pm. Wednesday dismissal is at 2:40 pm. In order to keep kids safe, students must go directly home or to the HANDS program at dismissal time. Students may not be dropped off prior to 8:10 am, as there will not be playground supervision.
Before school, all students will gather on the playground at 8:10, and the bell will ring at 8:25. All students will line up with their teachers and enter the building. Only Kindergarten parents will be permitted to escort their students into the building on the first day due to increasing COVID cases.
