  • Book Fair is here!

    October 9th-18th

Students must have a note or an  eWallet in order shop during the school day.

eWallets (video) are an easy way to provide your child with money for the bookfair and not have to worry about sending cash with them to school.

Create an account online using the link above, put money into an account with the childs name and they are set to shop. The student just needs to come to the library and tell me they have an eWallet to shop.

As it is a short week, the book fair will end for good on Wednesday the 18th at 1:00.

For more book fair information or online ordering options, please visit: https://www.scholastic.com/bf/lewisandclarkelementarysch2

    Family nights

    October 16th    4:00-7:00 pm

    October 17th    4:00-7:00 pm

Please plan to attend with your child as these times will be during conferences.

Coloring contest pages are due back to Mrs. Orr by the end of the day Thursday, October 5th.

Teachers and staff will vote on these to narrow it down on Friday the 6th. Students will then vote on the top 5 per grade level during their library time the following week. Winners will be announced on Monday, Oct. 16th and will get to choose a book under $8.00 from the book fair as a prize.

Sucker and pencil pull--Students may donate to the All for Books program which will help us to buy books for our students in need.

By donating 25¢ in the library, students can choose to pull either a pencil or a sucker from the book fair challenge. If they choose a sucker with a painted bottom or a pencil with a sharpened end, then they will also receive another small surprise.

Coin challenge will be ongoing throughout the fair and the proceeds will also go towards the All for Books program mentioned above. The days are as follows:

    Penny Monday--Oct. 9th

    Nickel Tuesday--Oct. 10th

    Dime Wednesday--Oct. 11th

    Quarter Thursday--Oct. 12th

Principal's Message

  • It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Lewis and Clark Elementary School, home of the brave Explorers! As a school community, we are committed to provide a safe and engaging learning environment to support all of our amazing students.

Lewis and Clark Explorers are a community of learners on a journey to success, today and into the future. As is evidenced by our mission statement, we are committed to providing students with the skills necessary to navigate their futures, no matter what they may be. We take great pride in the amazing opportunities that we offer all our students and we ask you to visit our school website often to stay informed of all the things that are happening within our school.

It is my belief that every child is unique and that they deserve to work and learn in an environment that supports them to reach their full potential academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally. Communication between home and school is an essential component of your child’s education. Look for ways to get involved such as volunteering, joining the school PTA, attending school events, reading with your child, attending parent-teacher conferences and having regular conversations with your child about their day at school.

As the principal of Lewis and Clark Elementary, it is my job to support students, parents, and staff. I have an open door policy and welcome the opportunity to talk with you about all of the amazing things that are happening in our school. You and your family are an important part of our school community and I look forward to partnering with you on your child’s educational journey!
