Using the Voicemail System

How to log on to your voicemail system:  Dial 7000 (or 268-7000 from home), press 82, 84 or 89 and follow directions from there.

You will probably want to change three things:

  1. Personal verification (what people hear when you are on the phone BEFORE your message plays; and if you leave them a message, it plays before your message) the personal verification is not your greeting--it just identifies who you are. If no verification is created, the message will say somthing like the following: "The person at extension 123 is on the phone."
  2. Inside message (what people calling from inside the district will hear)
  3. Outside message (what people calling from outside the district hear)

  • Log into your voicemail, then press 89

  • Press # to stop recording
