Welcome to North Middle
School and the Extreme Team!
We are so
excited to have you here. Please take the time to explore this site and to
read our "Extreme
Team Classroom Policy" below. It talks about all of the expectations
we have for you this year. But first, let us introduce ourselves. After
reading about your teacher, you can click on on their name and find out
how to contact them.
Mrs. Hunter-Nelsen.tmp) Rhonda
Hunter-Nelsen, our communication arts teacher, has been teaching for
thirteen years. Ten of those years have been here in Great
Falls. She is originally from northwest Iowa but now calls
Montana home. She is married and has two stepchildren and one
German shepherd, Jewel. In her spare time, she likes to read,
spend time with her parents who recently moved to Great Falls, and
spoil her niece and three nephews. Mrs. Hunter-Nelsen values the
relationships she has with her students.
Mrs.
Fought
Cristi
Fought, our social studies teacher has been with the district since 1993.
She has been an elementary teacher at two local schools in Great Falls.
Recently she made the move to North Middle School. Last year Mrs. Fought
taught science for the Extreme Team, and moved to social studies because
of her love for history. Mrs. Fought has grown up in Great Falls and left
only to attend college at the University of Montana but soon
returned to be close to family. She has three children Darbi, Gabrielle,
and Teage. Her husband is a coach for the Bison which makes Mrs. Fought a
huge football junkie! Making school fun and connecting with her
students is extremely important to Mrs. Fought.
Chris
Lander was born and raised in Shelby, MT. After graduating from high
school, she attended Eastern
Montana College in Billings. She started her teaching career
with the Great Falls Public Schools in 1987 at Riverview Elementary where
she taught 3rd grade for two years and 5th grade for 3 years. Chris
transferred to East Middle
School to teach 7th grade math for 13 years
before joining the North staff 4 years ago. Chris has also coached in the
district for 22 years and is currently the head girls basketball coach at
Great Falls High.
Ms.
Farr
Sara Farr, our science teacher, is
in her first year of teaching. As a student at Carroll College, Ms. Farr
majored in Biology and Chemistry for Secondary Education. She misses
her family back in Sidney, Montana, but is enjoying her time in Great
Falls. She lives with her miniature schnauzer Tess and spends her free
time knitting and painting with acrylics. She is excited to have you as
her first group of students!!!!

Mrs.
Guisti
Judi
Guisti, our Special Education Educator, is originally from Southern
California. She has lived in Montana for almost twenty years. Mrs.
Guisti has been married for twenty years and has 3 daughters. Her
youngest, Courtney, is a senior at Centerville high school.
The other two are both at the University of Montana; Bailee, is a freshman
and Tawni, is a sophomore. Mrs. Guisti taught preschool for eleven
years and has now been teaching at North for three years. She really
enjoys middle school aged students. When she's not at school, she enjoys
spending time with her family, reading, and making jewelry.
Ms.
Humphrey
Lucretia
Humphrey, our 7th grade counselor, has been in the district since
1992. She has been an elementary school counselor, counselor at the
Alternative HS and GED program, and now at North for the second
year. Ms. Humphrey enjoys her family, her cat and interest in Sierra
Leone. She loves her job and appreciates the growing time of middle
school students. Being available to students and their parents is
important to her.
