• seek ways to involve parents in the school program;
• demonstrate professional behavior and a positive attitude.

• insist that all homework assignments be completed;
• communicate as needed with my child’s teacher
• monitor computer sites
• support the school in developing positive behaviors;
• talk with my child about his/her school activities every day;
• encourage my child to read at home
• monitor his/her TV viewing, video games and free time
• if possible, assist at my child’s school;
• show respect and support for my child, the teacher, the staff, and the school.
