Dear Lewis and Clark Parents,
Wow! What a great year! Thank you to all our families for your incredible support.
Our explorers have experienced and accomplished many great things through academics, art, music, health & wellness and socially through our Olweus bully prevention program. None of our successes would be as great without the help of our parents and families. Thank you!!!
We are gearing up to transition our 6th graders to EMS and NMS. Parents are invited to a 6th Great Leap Up Lunch on May 8. Barb Holden, the counselor from EMS, will be available to answer transition questions and lunch will be served for parents and families. The 6th graders will have a day dedicated just for them on June 6. A fun lunch, games and awards will be presented to the students. Please contact 6th grade teachers for more information.
Something new in May will be our own Bike Rodeo. During the weeks of May 14-25, there will be training for students on bike safety. Through the Safe Routes to School Grant, we have acquired bikes, equipment and training for Mr. Sunchild who will have safety stations set-up. Students will also be listening to a guest speaker on helmet safety.
We will close out our year by showcasing our many talents at the annual Talent Show on June 7 which is our last day of school. Students will be dismissed at 1:15. There will be no summer school, however, we will have a summer library program sponsored by the LC PTA. The library will be open every Wednesday 10-12.
If you have any questions about any of the closing events, please contact our office for more details.
