This summer I was at Moodle training. The time and involvement in this upcoming program will be rewarding not only for the students, but for the teachers as well. I can't wait until we are up and running for this new beginning at East.
I finally finished the Twilight series. Yes, it did take me that long, but it was worth it. I really enjoyed the romance and action in these books. Since so many of our students read the Warrior's series by Erin Hunter, I grabbed the first book to see for myself. The books are predictable, but for some young adults it will interest them.
Currently I am on the Dangerous Days of Daniel X. I beat Ms. Weir to the book at the public library. We both are reading books that our male students are interested in reading in her class. The best thing to do is to read the book first to see if it would be a good read for the class. I have always done that with my own children. Parents, you can do that, too. It shows that you are interested in what your children are reading. If you ever need the same book your child is reading at East maybe I can help you out. Just let me know.
