The number one reason for low grades in Spanish class is. . .
NOT TURNING IN WORK!!!!
We really don't have a lot of homework in Spanish class. Often times, the homework is to study. Many assignments are supposed to be completed in class; however, many students choose to not turn them in. Another common problem is completing the work but not writing their names at the top of the sheet.
To help your child succeed, please check the assignment sheets in Moodle. Each student should also have a copy in his binder. Study on the nights when the homework says study. There are links to the vocabulary on the left! Check the "en la clase" column. Ask if that work has been completed. Send your child to the extra credit study groups! Tuesdays for first year; Thursdays for second year!
Mostly, don't give up on your child and hold each student accountable for his own academic success!
