| The goal of the woods class is for
students to learn the proper use of commonly used power and hand tools
while creating projects and participating in other hands-on activities. We use various species of hardwoods and softwoods to create household item such as clocks, cribbage boards, lazy susans, wall shelves and cutting boards. The goal of the construction class is to learn basic framing procedures and electrical wiring according to national code. In the 7th grade, we do CAD and robotic computer exercises. We program a small robot to perform several simple kinetics, and we use the CAD program to draw houses and vehicles. We hope to inspire young people to continue in all of these vocational areas.
