Role of the Monitor/Mentor: A monitor is a person responsible for facilitating a student's connection with school and learning. The presence of an adult in a child's life to fuel the motivation and foster the development of life skills needed to overcome obstacles. The monitor's primary goal is to promote regular school participation and to keep education a salient issue for students, parents and teachers. |
