MEET THE TEACHERS

Keith Davey - English

Education:  BS in Elementary Education from Eastern Montana College in Billings with emphases in math, science and history.  Masters Degree with emphasis in Gifted Education.

Background:  Born and raised in Billings, MT.   Married to Summer, 2nd grade teacher at Sunnyside Elementary.  Father of 4 children, 1 daughter-in-law, 1 dog and 2 cats:  Andrew - 25,  Eric - 22, Caitlin - 20, and Morgan - 17.  Twenty-five years in teaching, 20 years with GFPS.

Hobbies:  skiing, carpentry, baking, softball,  fishing, and reading.

Cynde Jacobsen - Science

Education:  BS in Horticulture Science with an option in Floriculture Technology.  Master of Arts Teaching (MAT) with an endorsement in broadfield science.

Background:  Raised in  Great Falls.  Mother of three children; Kirsten- 19, Emilie- 18, and Duncan- 13.  Nine years teaching with Great Falls Public School district.  Have taught 7th & 8th grade English and Science.

Hobbies Spending time with family and friends, skiing,  cooking and anything science.

Leesa Halcro - Social Studies  

Education:  BS in Social Studies with History and English minors from Montana State University-Bozeman.  GO CATS!

Background:  Born in Great Falls and mostly raised here, but also lived in Havre and Missoula.  Graduated from MSU in 2000 and have taught in the GFPS for 8 years.  Have taught both 7th and 8th grade Social Studies and English as well as Keyboarding.  The owner of one disobedient dog name Sumo, faculty Representative  of the NEA,  and  member of the MSU Alumni Association.

Hobbies:  Enjoy spending time with family and friends.   Am active in many community and volunteer projects.  Love to travel, play softball and golf.  Enjoy reading crime stories and classics.

Nick Herd - Math

 

Background:  Born and raised in Great Falls and graduated from GF school system Graduated with BS in Elementary Education from Montana State University, Bozeman, 2006.  6th grade math, communications arts, and social studies teacher for 4 years with the Great Falls School District.

Hobbies:  Spending time with friends and family, gardening, and anything technology related.
