Make-up Work

|
- Call the homework hotline for assignments.
- Check with me for any worksheets or materials you may have missed.
- You have two (2) days for each day you missed to make up your work.
- If the absence is school related then the work is due when you return.
- Please write make-up work on the top of your paper and turn it into the drawer labeled “ABSENT”.
- Labs, tests, and quizzes must be made up within one week of the student’s absence. This can be done after school or during the teacher’s prep period.
|

|
LATE WORK:
- Assignments that are turned in late will lose 10% of the total points possible each day.
- Turn in late assignments to the “Late Work” drawer at the front of the classroom.
DETENTIONS:
- If earned, detentions can be served Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday after school.
- The student has two days to serve the detention or the time doubles.
- Slips notifying parents will be signed by the teacher and student, and then given to the student to hand carry home for parents to sign.
CHEATING:
- Cheating will not be tolerated!
- A student caught cheating will receive a zero (0) for a grade on the paper/quiz/test/ or homework assignment.
The student will also be required to call their parent or guardian and serve a 30-minute detention. |

|
- Replacing textbooks or repairing damages is costly and will be the responsibility of the student/family.
- Textbooks are required to remain covered all year with paper book covers. NO STRETCHY COVERS!!
- Detention will be given to any student that does not have their book covered properly.
- We have brand new materials to work with in science this year. It is important to keep these materials in excellent condition. Any student who cannot follow class rules for proper care and handling of equipment will not be allowed to participate in the next lab activity.
|
| |
- Grade sheets are posted regularly near the classroom door and students should review them frequently.
- Your grade is based on the total number of points earned on assignments, notes, labs, quizzes, tests, and projects.
- Tests, projects, and labs will be worth more points than daily assignments.
