Education Teacher with Applied Behavior Analysis Certification—One Year Only
QUALIFICATIONS: Montana Class 1 or 2 teaching
license plus proper special
education endorsements;
Board
Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA®)
Certification
Experience
teaching children with special needs
Experience
in working collaboratively with parents of children
with special needs.
Experience in providing staff development and training.
DUTIES: The
ABA Teacher provides services to students who require
intensive behavioral training to learn new behaviors, increase or reduce
existing behaviors, and teach individuals when to use specific behaviors in
specific instances. The ABA Teacher will also provide services to families and
colleagues who require intensive behavioral consultation. Training and
consultation are performed in the areas of educational and adaptive living
strategies, challenging behaviors, and staff management. Special populations
such as individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities have been
shown to benefit greatly from ABA services.
