Develop personal resources

            Students will:

            • understand the importance of self discipline, concentration and focus in the cinematic process

            • collaboration with others to produce and evaluate film and television

            • use communication skills as a participant in video production

            • interpret subtleties of sensory perception and emotional states through cinemagraphic media

 

Know and manage theatre resources and technology

            Students will:

            • understand and use process, techniques and materials of cinematic theatre

            • understand and enact the roles of the production team

            • communicate understanding of cinematic theatre language

            • synthesize knowledge of other disciplines into cinematic theatre

 

Create theatre through individual expression and artistic collaboration

            Students will:

            • demonstrate ensemble in video production

            • strive for collaboration in writing and producing original scripts

            • use video technology to creatively solve problems

 

Analyze and form aesthetic judgements

            Students will:

            • evaluate film and video using selected criteria

            • evaluate scripted text as a bases for production decisions

            • examine relationships between film/television and other disciplines

            • reflect upon the aesthetic qualities of productions

 

 

Relate theatre to its social and historical context

            Students will:

            • explore occupations in the film and television industry

            • reflect upon personal and universal meanings in cinematic theatre

            • review selected works and place them in a historical, social and cultural context
