            Students will:

            • construct theatre with attention to sensory and emotional detail in content and form

            • collaborate to construct and produce theatre

            • demonstrate discipline and communication skills as a participant in theatre productions

 

Know and manage theatre resources and technology

            Students will:

            • understand and use the processes, techniques, and materials of technical theatre

            • synthesize knowledge of other disciplines into technical theatre

            • communicate understanding of technical theatre language

            • understand the role and responsibilities of the production team

 

Create theatre through individual expression and artistic collaboration

            Students will:

            • demonstrate ensemble in theatre production

            • apply technical theatre to enhance director/playwright’s intent

            • collaborate in creating and executing technical elements for theatre production

 

Analyze and form aesthetic judgments

            Students will:

            • analyze and evaluate elements of dramatic literature as a basis for technical theatre decisions

            • analyze and evaluate productions using selected and specific criteria

            • respond to theatre’s interpretation of the human experience

 

Relate theatre to its social and historical context

            Students will:

            • explore selected occupations in theatre

            • research and employ historical solutions to construction problems

            • reflect upon personal and universal meanings in theatre
